Mission: As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial and accounting operations within our highly scalable and best-in-class finance organization. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will contribute to the ethos of how financial and accounting functions interact with our operating businesses. Your responsibilities will require exceptional organizational and communication skills, along with a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. You will actively participate in various accounting functions, including the implementation of Heritage and GAAP accounting policies, month-end close processes, accounts payable, payroll, and contributing to the year-end audit process for the Regional Platform. This role offers a high level of visibility within our rapidly growing company and requires a proactive approach to work with minimal supervision.   Responsibilities:   -  Assist with the full accounting functions including balance sheet reconciliation and preparation of financial statements - Daily/Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts - Prepare monthly journal entries including but not limited to accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue - Record daily bank deposits and process customer refunds as needed - Import daily revenue into accounting system (Sage Intaact) - Record the payroll journal entry and payroll accrual at month end - Assist AP accountant when needed - Assist In preparation of annual reviews and audits -  Assist in preparing year-end schedules for annual tax preparation - Respond professionally to all client inquiries - Maintain organizational procedures and systems for office personnel, including filing, billing, accounts payable and payroll - Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals - Perform ad hoc projects as needed -   Qualifications and Requirements: - Must have achieved a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent from a four-year accredited college or equivalent work experience. - Minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience in accrual accounting with an intermediate understanding of GAAP - Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn various software packages - Strong excel skills a must - Experience in cost accounting a plus   Work Environment   - This job offers a flexible hybrid work schedule.
